I will cling to your sleeve take me where you will.
Yet, be gentile please as my thoughts I spill.
You can learn from my travels, ere the wind doth blow.
If you will but listen my knowledge you’ll know.
I am a butterfly, tell me what you will know.
Or I’ll follow the wind, and you can watch as I go.
I am not a poet but I wanna learn. I love the artists’ life, and taking part in this blogging experience has opened new worlds. Please be kind. 🙂 I am open to suggestion
This painting is a flip cup pour on an album with blown flowers. After it dried I applied skins that were cut in the shapes of butterfly wings, then added the body. I hope to apply clock works. and she will be available for purchase if anyone has interest.
The lake was silent for some time. Finally, it said: “I weep for Narcissus, but I never noticed that Narcissus was beautiful. I weep because, each time he knelt beside my banks, I could see, in the depths of his eyes, my own beauty reflected.
I love fall, the color of the leaves, the chill in the air but I miss the beauty of spring flowers. Narcissus is one of my all time favorites.
This painting is a combination of swiping and blown effect, with the acrylic fluid formula.
The fluid painting process is so much fun. I get really excited just seeing how the paints will perform. It is a gift to be able to share my experience with those who have interest in the medium. This process to me opens many possibilities. It is my goal to use the premixed paints and create more than just chance results. So far we are seeing many who have taken acrylic pouring as a new trend to play with paint. I have seen many beautiful paintings. But I am confident that there are many more creations that can be made using this awesome paint formula.
In this painting I have combined several techniques, but I feel it is only the tip of the iceberg. I have done swipe paintings that keep the exciting “cells” created in a pour. Giving a unique abstract feel to the final art work.
If you love this new process as I do please take the time to follow this link to my youtube channel “Straw Blown Field of Flowers” and see the processes I used to get these results.

We need to feel our own happy experience. Allow the stress to be on the back burner. Enjoy the freedom of not being in control. This form of painting has allowed that for me. I hope you will follow along with me and maybe find your freedom. Allow yourself to let go and see what will happen.
It is the weekend here and now for me. So I’m gonna make this a quick post, an encouragement to all Be HAPPY!
I have been practicing making tutorials for about a year now. Many people have seen my art and the way I approach Acrylic Pouring. Asking me to make a video to share my process. I see acrylic pouring more as a form of art than a crafty approach to painting. By giving the paint freedom to “do its own thing” we as artists are freed up to concentrate on the final product. As a traditional painter I always fell short especially with backgrounds. But honestly my process is a blog for another day.
What I would like to talk to you about today is the actual video process. More specifically, the fear involved. There are many avenues available to present your tutorials. Youtube is, I think, the most recognized. They offer candy, and make their form of video posting more appealing. Not literal candy but we have all heard of the video gone viral. There are other ways to post your videos, as I am doing now, prime example. This post will probably not receive as many views posted here as it would on Youtube. I do plan to work hard to gain many followers and soon change that fact though.
This video was created LIVE on Facebook. My caps are to indicate that recording live is quite scary. You can prepare and plan as much as you like and still make unheard of mistakes. After creating the video I am almost ready to say that it was actually an easier way to go. There is not as much time to let the fear take over , and its easier to overlook your mistakes when you have the live effect to blame. I have been posting on Youtube for over 6 months with only 3 posted. With all the variables in video creation, stress, content, funds, editing, and lighting, it is so easy to become a forever procrastinator.
There is actually video making abilities on the Word Press site too, this I have not yet explored but I will! Then there is the need to build up your following on both ends. All these things do cause stress, but I must say I am enjoying the ride. If you too are in my boat please like and subscribe to my page. I would love to hear from you. We may be able to help each other jump some hurdles.
I’m sure there are even more available than I have mentioned here and more to come. Money to be made in the process, I enjoy making them so my thought for the day is, be determined and believe in your plan, learn your facts and you will go far.
Today there are videos, and video makers all around us. Honestly I am really thankful for all the new Pouring video viral trend, otherwise I wouldn’t feel so excited about all that can be done with it. So please take a minute to watch my live video and maybe you too will be the next viral video maker.
I usually don’t remember my dreams, but if I did I believe this is just what they would look like. My love for flowers really blooms with acrylic pouring. As we walk through life there are memories we would love to keep for ever, and yet many of them fade away. I like to think that though the detail may fade, my dreams will always be filled with flowers like these.
I purposefully kept these flowers abstract. So that the viewer could use their imagination and decide what flowers they see. Maybe your favorite flower is there in the corner. Or you to had flower dreams last night too.
For this painting I used my famous straw blowing technique. Acrylic Pouring is very exciting, there seem to be endless new techniques to try. If you would like to learn how and see some of my painting in action. Please take the time to visit my Youtube channel where I have fun creating with Acrylic Pours and share some fun techniques. I try to post often so you wont get bored. Dodies Youtube
If you love flowers and painting them please comment below and share your floral dreams with me. Would you like to see a painting tutorial blog post. Lets talk about your questions on the subject of Acrylic Pouring and Fluid Painting.
Fluid painting has entered the scene with a bang. I have been exploring the media for about one year now. With the immediate popularity of the medium it has been an exciting ride of new information. This painting was inspired by cherry blossoms in the spring. If you have a desire to see them in real life, Washington DC., Seattle Washington, Dallas, and more are cities in the US that boast the real trees. I long to have the opportunity to travel to these places and some day paint the awesome display while I see them in person. But for these my special blossoms. I used a swipe technique for the background and the trees were added later still using the fluid paint formula. I am loving the look as I hope you are as well.
